Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough security screenings of passengers, baggage, and cargo using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and advanced imaging technology
- Enforce TSA regulations with professionalism while maintaining exceptional customer service standards
- Identify and resolve security threats through systematic search procedures and behavioral detection techniques
- Operate and maintain complex security equipment with precision and safety protocols
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security incidents and emergency responses
- Document screening activities and security incidents using TSA reporting systems
- Adhere to all TSA policies, SOPs, and federal security regulations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship is required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Pass extensive background investigation and security clearance
- Successfully complete TSA's mandatory training program
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Clear English communication skills (verbal and written)
