Responsibilities
- Operate advanced X-ray and CT scanners to screen carry-on and checked baggage for prohibited items
- Conduct thorough physical screenings of passengers using walk-through metal detectors and pat-down procedures
- Monitor security checkpoints with heightened situational awareness to detect potential threats
- Enforce TSA regulations while maintaining professional customer service standards
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergency situations
- Participate in continuous training programs to stay updated on security protocols
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain TSA security clearance
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Minimum 2 years experience in security, law enforcement, or customer service
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Proficient in operating electronic screening equipment
