Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage for prohibited items using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and pat-down techniques
- Conduct thorough baggage inspections and resolve security alarms following TSA protocols
- Provide excellent customer service to travelers while maintaining security standards
- Operate advanced security technology and equipment efficiently
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security escalations
- Participate in regular training and security drills to maintain proficiency
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Valid state driver's license
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn security systems
