Responsibilities
- Operate advanced X-ray and imaging equipment to screen carry-on and checked baggage
- Conduct thorough physical screening of passengers using walk-through metal detectors and pat-down procedures
- Verify travel documents and boarding passes for all passengers
- Maintain constant vigilance for prohibited items and suspicious behavior
- Provide clear instructions to passengers during screening processes
- Document security incidents and screening activities accurately
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel when necessary
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal residency status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass extensive background check and drug screening
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods (up to 8 hours)
- Proficient in English with strong communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 70 pounds
