Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and baggage using advanced imaging technology and metal detectors
- Conduct thorough physical pat-downs and bag searches when required
- Operate TSA-approved security equipment including X-ray machines and explosive detection systems
- Identify and report prohibited items and security threats
- Provide clear instructions to passengers during security procedures
- Maintain detailed documentation of screening activities and incidents
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergencies
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship is mandatory
- Minimum 18 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to obtain and maintain TSA security clearance
- Pass background investigation and drug screening
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds
- Effective communication skills in English
- Ability to work in high-stress, fast-paced environments
