Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other security equipment
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections when necessary
- Monitor security checkpoints to detect potential threats and prohibited items
- Provide excellent customer service while enforcing security protocols
- Operate and maintain advanced screening technology
- Document security incidents and submit detailed reports
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security operations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Pass background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Valid U.S. driver's license (if required for position)
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to work in high-stress, fast-paced environments
