Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage for prohibited items using advanced scanning equipment
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections following TSA protocols
- Monitor security checkpoints and respond to suspicious activity with appropriate escalation
- Maintain accurate documentation of security incidents and passenger interactions
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security alerts
- Operate X-ray machines, metal detectors, and explosive detection systems
- Provide exceptional customer service while enforcing security regulations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal permanent residency status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass a background investigation and security clearance
- Successfully complete TSA Security Screening Training Course
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods in a high-stress environment
- Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn specialized equipment
- Must be 18 years or older and pass pre-employment drug screening
