Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and metal detectors to screen passengers and baggage
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and physical inspections as required
- Identify and report prohibited items and security threats
- Maintain orderly screening lanes and enforce security protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service to travelers during screening
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Must be willing to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer literacy and strong communication skills
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments
- No felony convictions or certain misdemeanors
