Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced screening procedures on passengers, baggage, and cargo using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other security equipment
- Perform thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections to detect prohibited items
- Monitor security checkpoints and maintain orderly flow of travelers
- Utilize advanced communication systems to coordinate with law enforcement and airport personnel
- Document security incidents and maintain detailed logs of screening activities
- Provide exceptional customer service while enforcing security protocols
- Stay updated on TSA regulations and emerging security threats
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass background investigation and drug screening
- Valid state driver's license
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to work in high-stress environments and handle conflict professionally
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
