Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough passenger and baggage screenings using advanced X-ray and detection equipment
- Identify and report prohibited items while maintaining courteous and efficient screening protocols
- Operate airport checkpoint equipment and security systems with precision
- Enforce TSA regulations and procedures with professionalism and cultural sensitivity
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security incidents
- Complete detailed documentation and incident reports accurately
- Maintain constant situational awareness in high-traffic environments
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background investigation
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong communication skills in English (bilingual Spanish preferred)
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn security systems
- Valid Texas driver's license and clean driving record
- Must pass TSA Security Screening Test and medical evaluation
