As a Security Screener, you'll operate advanced screening technology, conduct thorough searches, and maintain a vigilant security posture while delivering exceptional customer service to travelers at Denver International Airport. Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other security screening equipment to detect prohibited items
- Conduct physical pat-down searches and baggage inspections as required by security protocols
- Verify travel documents and boarding passes against passenger manifests
- Maintain constant vigilance for suspicious activities and report security concerns
- Provide clear instructions to travelers during security screening processes
- Collaborate with law enforcement and other security personnel during incidents
- Document security incidents and screening activities in accordance with TSA guidelines
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal permanent resident status
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
