Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on luggage, and cargo using advanced X-ray scanners, metal detectors, and explosive detection systems
- Conduct thorough physical pat-downs and baggage inspections to detect prohibited items
- Operate TSA technologies including millimeter wave scanners and trace detection equipment
- Enforce TSA regulations with professionalism while maintaining excellent customer service
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening logs
- Collaborate with law enforcement during emergency situations
- Participate in continuous training on security protocols and emerging threats
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
- Proficient in English communication (verbal/written)
- Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
