Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced passenger and baggage screenings using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and explosive trace detection systems
- Implement TSA Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to detect and prevent prohibited items from entering secure areas
- Perform pat-down searches and bag inspections with professionalism and sensitivity
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel to resolve security incidents
- Maintain accurate documentation of screening activities and security breaches
- Provide exceptional customer service while enforcing security regulations
- Participate in continuous training on emerging threats and security technologies
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a federal background investigation
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proficient in English with strong communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Must pass TSA Pre-Employment Assessment and medical evaluation
- No felony convictions or serious misdemeanor offenses
