Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage using advanced X-ray technology and manual inspection techniques
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage screening in accordance with TSA protocols
- Monitor security checkpoints and identify potential threats through behavioral observation
- Operate metal detectors, CT scanners, and other security equipment with precision
- Enforce TSA regulations while maintaining courteous communication with travelers
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergency situations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass background investigation and drug screening
- Valid state driver's license
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Proficient in English (written and verbal)
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- No visible tattoos on face or neck (must be covered during work)
