Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors to screen passengers and carry-on baggage
- Conduct physical pat-down searches and bag inspections as required
- Verify travel documents and boarding passes against passenger manifests
- Respond to security breaches and emergencies following TSA protocols
- Maintain accurate screening logs and incident reports
- Provide clear instructions to travelers during security screening processes
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security operations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Must pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods in a high-security environment
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn security technologies
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written)
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
