Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage using X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors
- Conduct pat-down searches and explosive trace detection when necessary
- Verify travel documents and boarding passes against passenger information
- Identify prohibited items and enforce TSA security regulations
- Operate advanced imaging technology and CT scanners
- Maintain orderly checkpoint operations during high-traffic periods
- Report security incidents and suspicious activities to supervisors
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
- Strong communication skills for interacting with diverse travelers
