Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and baggage using advanced X-ray and metal detection equipment
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections following TSA protocols
- Monitor security checkpoints and identify potential security threats
- Operate security technology including EDS, ETD, and trace detection systems
- Provide exceptional customer service while enforcing security regulations
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergencies
Qualifications
- US citizenship or permanent resident status
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Valid US driver's license (if required for position)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50+ pounds
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency for equipment operation
