Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage using X-ray machines and manual search techniques
- Conduct pat-down searches and explosive detection procedures per TSA protocols
- Verify identification documents and boarding passes for all travelers
- Monitor security checkpoints and respond to suspicious activity or threats
- Operate advanced security equipment including CT scanners and trace detection devices
- Enforce TSA regulations while providing courteous customer service to diverse travelers
- Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate security documentation
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergency situations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal permanent residency status
- Ability to pass rigorous background check and security clearance
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Valid U.S. driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proficient in English with strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Must pass pre-employment medical and drug screening
