Responsibilities
- Screening Operations: Operate X-ray screening equipment to inspect carry-on baggage and personal items for prohibited items and threats.
- Passenger Screening: Perform pat-downs, body scans, and walk-through metal detector screening to ensure the safety of all passengers and crew.
- Security Enforcement: Enforce all security regulations and policies to prevent unauthorized items from entering secure areas.
- Customer Service: Assist travelers with directions, resolve concerns, and provide a positive customer experience in a high-volume environment.
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork, including observation reports and incident logs, accurately and timely.
- Physical Screening: Assist in identifying potential threats through observation and maintain situational awareness at all times.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen or a Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) eligible for security clearance.
- Education: High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.
- Background Check: Must successfully complete a thorough background investigation, including a criminal history check, credit check, and fingerprinting.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, lift, and reach frequently. Must meet medical standards regarding vision and hearing.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills required to interact with diverse passengers and staff.
- Availability: Must be available to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
