Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough security screenings of passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo to prevent prohibited items from entering secure areas.
- Operate X-ray screening equipment and other security technology to identify threats and ensure the safety of the traveling public.
- Perform pat-downs and physical inspections of passengers when required by security protocols.
- Enforce TSA regulations, policies, and procedures consistently and fairly.
- Communicate effectively with passengers, explaining security procedures and resolving inquiries professionally.
- Maintain a high level of situational awareness and vigilance at all times during your shift.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient flow of passengers and seamless security operations.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National, or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Ability to pass a criminal history background check and a medical examination.
- Must be able to pass a drug screening test.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift objects for extended periods.
- Good vision and the ability to distinguish colors are required.
