Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and advanced imaging technology.
- Conduct physical pat-downs and bag searches to detect prohibited items, weapons, and explosives.
- Identify and resolve security threats while maintaining a professional, courteous demeanor with the public.
- Enforce security regulations, laws, and procedures in compliance with federal mandates.
- Collaborate with fellow security officers to maintain a secure and efficient checkpoint environment.
- Stay alert to suspicious behavior and report anomalies to supervisors immediately.
- Perform regular equipment maintenance and calibration checks to ensure operational readiness.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass a thorough background check and medical screening.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Ability to pass a drug test and obtain a security clearance.
- Good physical health with the ability to stand, walk, and lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-stress environment while adhering to strict protocols.
