Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage using advanced imaging technology and manual search techniques
- Monitor security checkpoints and detect potential threats to aviation security
- Enforce TSA regulations and security protocols with professionalism and cultural sensitivity
- Operate X-ray machines, metal detectors, and explosive detection systems
- Respond to security incidents and emergencies following established procedures
- Complete detailed documentation and incident reports
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel as needed
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal permanent resident status
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Valid state driver's license or government-issued photo ID
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn security systems
