Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors to screen passengers and carry-on luggage
- Conduct physical pat-down searches and baggage inspections as required
- Verify identification documents and boarding passes against flight manifests
- Monitor security checkpoints and respond to suspicious activity or emergencies
- Enforce TSA security protocols and regulations with professionalism and tact
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security incidents
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency and customer service aptitude
- Must pass TSA security screening assessment and training program
