Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other security equipment
- Conduct pat-down searches and physical inspections when necessary
- Monitor security checkpoints to ensure compliance with TSA regulations
- Identify and report suspicious items, behaviors, or potential security threats
- Operate and maintain screening technology while maintaining throughput efficiency
- Communicate professionally with diverse travelers during security procedures
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening logs
- Participate in emergency response training and drills
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods (4+ hours)
- Basic computer literacy skills
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds occasionally
- Fluent English communication skills (verbal/written)
