Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage for prohibited items using advanced X-ray and detection technology
- Conduct thorough physical pat-downs and baggage inspections following TSA protocols
- Monitor security checkpoints and respond to security alerts with professionalism
- Provide courteous customer service while enforcing security regulations
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening records
- Operate complex security equipment including metal detectors, CT scanners, and trace detection systems
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency response teams during security incidents
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (required)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (required)
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn technical systems
- Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
