Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors to screen passengers and carry-on luggage
- Conduct physical pat-downs and baggage inspections as required by security protocols
- Monitor security screening areas to detect suspicious activities and prohibited items
- Provide excellent customer service while enforcing TSA regulations with professionalism
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security alerts
- Complete annual recurrent training to stay current on security procedures
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or U.S. National status
- Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently
- Pass a thorough background check and drug screening
- Successfully complete medical examination and fitness assessment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- No felony convictions or pending criminal charges
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
