Responsibilities
- Passenger Screening: Operate X-ray screening equipment and conduct manual searches of passengers and carry-on luggage to detect prohibited items.
- Pat-Downs: Perform pat-down searches and body scans to ensure security compliance in a professional and respectful manner.
- Policy Enforcement: Enforce security regulations and procedures to ensure the safety of the airport and transportation systems.
- Customer Service: Assist passengers with inquiries, directions, and resolve issues calmly and efficiently.
- Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations and assist in evacuations if necessary.
- Documentation: Complete required reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or national.
- Background Check: Must be able to pass a background check, including fingerprinting and drug screening.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and pass a medical examination.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- No Felonies: No felony convictions within the last 7 years.
