Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors to screen passengers and baggage
- Conduct physical searches of individuals and property as required
- Identify and report suspicious items or activities according to TSA protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation of screening incidents and reports
- Provide excellent customer service to travelers while enforcing security regulations
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security incidents
- Complete mandatory training programs and recertifications
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Pass TSA background investigation and security clearance
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Must pass medical examination and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn security systems
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
