Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on bags using X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors
- Conduct physical pat-down searches when necessary
- Inspect checked baggage for prohibited items and potential threats
- Operate advanced imaging technology and explosive detection systems
- Enforce TSA security regulations with professionalism and respect
- Communicate security procedures clearly to travelers
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with law enforcement during security alerts
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid California driver's license (if required for position)
