Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors to screen passengers and baggage
- Conduct physical pat-downs and baggage searches as authorized
- Identify potential threats and prohibited items using security protocols
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining professional demeanor
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders during security incidents
- Adhere to TSA policies and federal security regulations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Minimum 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass background investigation and drug screening
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Proficient in English (reading/writing/speaking)
- No felony convictions or certain misdemeanor offenses
