Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough security screenings of passengers, baggage, and cargo at San Jose International Airport
- Operate advanced screening equipment (X-ray machines, CT scanners) with precision
- Perform physical pat-downs and baggage inspections following TSA protocols
- Identify and report suspicious items or security threats to supervisors
- Maintain accurate documentation of screening activities and incident reports
- Provide excellent customer service while enforcing security regulations
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security operations
Qualifications
- US citizenship or legal resident status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn technical systems
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must complete TSA-mandated paid training program (4-6 weeks)
