Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage for prohibited items using X-ray machines and manual search techniques
- Operate advanced security equipment including walk-through metal detectors and trace detection portals
- Conduct thorough bag inspections and pat-downs following TSA protocols
- Monitor security checkpoints and report suspicious activities to supervisors
- Provide excellent customer service while enforcing security regulations
- Maintain accurate documentation of security incidents and screening activities
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during security incidents
Qualifications
- US citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass background investigation and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy for reporting systems
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and observation skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights/weekends/holidays
- Valid driver's license (if required for shift assignments)
