Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and baggage using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other security equipment
- Conduct thorough physical searches when required by security protocols
- Monitor security checkpoints and identify potential threats or suspicious behavior
- Enforce TSA regulations while maintaining professional customer service
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergencies
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal residency status
- Ability to pass a thorough background investigation and drug screening
- Successful completion of medical examination and fitness assessment
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn security technologies
