Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray screening equipment to detect prohibited items in carry-on and checked baggage.
- Conduct thorough pat-downs and body searches to ensure passenger safety and security.
- Screen passengers and merchandise at airport checkpoints efficiently and professionally.
- Enforce security regulations, policies, and procedures consistently and fairly.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with passengers to resolve security concerns and provide excellent customer service.
- Identify and report any security breaches or suspicious activities immediately.
- Perform bag checks and assist in maintaining orderly queues at screening lanes.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).
- Must pass a background check, medical screening, and drug test.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods (up to 8 hours per day).
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull wheeled equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
