Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage for prohibited items using X-ray machines and manual detection techniques
- Operate advanced security equipment including metal detectors, CT scanners, and explosive detection systems
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections as required by security protocols
- Maintain constant vigilance for suspicious activities and security threats
- Provide courteous customer service while enforcing TSA regulations and procedures
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security alerts
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (mandatory requirement)
- Minimum age of 18 years old
- Pass comprehensive background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to obtain and maintain TSA security clearance
- Ability to work in high-stress environments and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
