Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage for prohibited items using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and manual pat-downs
- Conduct thorough baggage inspections and resolve security discrepancies professionally
- Maintain strict compliance with TSA security protocols and SOPs
- Provide excellent customer service to diverse travelers during security screening processes
- Operate advanced security technology including CT scanners and explosive detection systems
- Document security incidents and submit detailed reports following agency guidelines
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security alerts
Qualifications
- US citizenship or legal resident status
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Valid state-issued driver's license or government-issued photo ID
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
