Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors to screen passengers and carry-on baggage
- Conduct physical pat-downs and baggage inspections as required by security protocols
- Monitor security checkpoints and identify potential threats or suspicious items
- Provide excellent customer service while enforcing TSA security regulations
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security escalations
- Participate in mandatory security training and certification programs
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid U.S. driver's license (if operating airport vehicles)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn security technologies
- Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
