Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo using advanced detection equipment
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections as required
- Monitor security checkpoints to ensure compliance with TSA protocols
- Respond to security alerts and suspicious activity reports
- Provide clear instructions and assistance to travelers during screening
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergencies
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (mandatory)
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass extensive background investigation and drug screening
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
