Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors to screen passengers and carry-on baggage
- Conduct physical searches of individuals and property as authorized
- Monitor security checkpoints and identify suspicious items or behavior
- Interact professionally with travelers while enforcing security protocols
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and other security personnel
- Participate in continuous training on security procedures and technology
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Pass background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
- Basic computer literacy and customer service skills
- Must be able to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
