Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and baggage using X-ray machines and manual inspection techniques
- Monitor security checkpoints and detect prohibited items
- Operate advanced security technology including CT scanners and trace detection equipment
- Conduct pat-down searches and baggage inspections per TSA protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation of security incidents and suspicious activities
- Provide exceptional customer service to travelers during security screening
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security alerts
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Pass TSA background investigation and security clearance
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn technical systems
- Strong communication and observational skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Pass pre-employment drug test and medical evaluation
