Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and baggage using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and advanced imaging technology
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and bag inspections to detect prohibited items
- Maintain orderly checkpoint operations and enforce security protocols
- Provide excellent customer service to diverse travelers during high-pressure situations
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate checkpoint records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergencies
- Operate advanced security equipment and adapt to evolving threat detection methods
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn new technologies
- Clear communication skills in English (other languages a plus)
