Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough security screenings of passengers, baggage, and cargo to prevent prohibited items from entering secure areas.
- Operate X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other screening equipment to detect potential threats.
- Interact professionally with travelers, providing assistance and resolving issues with patience and courtesy.
- Report suspicious activities and security concerns to supervisors according to established protocols.
- Adhere to all TSA policies, procedures, and security guidelines to maintain the highest standards of safety.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining efficiency and accuracy during peak travel times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and effective security coverage.
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Pass a background investigation and drug screening.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 70 pounds.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (both written and verbal).
- Must be able to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous experience in customer service or security is preferred but not required.
