Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage using X-ray machines and manual detection techniques
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections as required
- Operate advanced security equipment including CT scanners and ETD devices
- Maintain strict compliance with TSA Standard Operating Procedures
- Respond to security alerts and escalate potential threats to supervisors
- Provide excellent customer service during screening interactions
- Document security incidents and maintain detailed records
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass extensive background check and drug screening
- Valid state driver's license (if required for shift rotations)
- Ability to stand for extended periods (4-6 hours continuously)
