Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough screening of passengers, carry-on baggage, and checked baggage using advanced imaging technology and X-ray equipment.
- Identify potential threats and prohibited items while maintaining a professional demeanor and providing excellent customer service to travelers.
- Enforce security regulations and procedures to ensure the highest level of safety and security at the airport.
- Collaborate effectively with a diverse team of officers to ensure smooth operations during peak travel periods.
- Complete all required documentation, reports, and logs accurately and in a timely manner.
- Participate in regular training and certification programs to stay updated on evolving security protocols and technologies.
- Assist in the training of new hires and support the leadership team in maintaining operational standards.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Must be able to pass a federal background investigation, including a criminal history check and drug screening.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical activities as required by the position.
- Good vision (corrected if necessary) and the ability to operate complex screening equipment.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure in dynamic situations.
