Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and manual search techniques
- Conduct pat-down searches and baggage inspections following TSA protocols
- Monitor security checkpoints and alert supervisors to suspicious activities or items
- Provide clear instructions to travelers during screening procedures
- Operate and maintain security equipment with precision and efficiency
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security operations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (required)
- Minimum age of 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Pass background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Proficient in English (written and verbal communication)
- Available to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- No felony convictions and clean employment history
