Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on bags for prohibited items using X-ray scanners and manual search techniques
- Operate advanced security equipment including metal detectors, trace detection systems, and CT scanners
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections following TSA protocols
- Monitor security checkpoints and respond to potential threats with professionalism and calmness
- Provide excellent customer service while enforcing security regulations
- Complete incident reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergency situations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (required)
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Ability to pass background investigation and drug screening
- Valid driver's license (required)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn technical systems
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
