Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs of public facilities, parks, and roadways
- Operate heavy equipment (e.g., trucks, mowers, snow removal tools) safely and efficiently
- Respond promptly to public service requests and emergency situations
- Conduct daily inspections of assigned zones to identify hazards or maintenance needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with all municipal safety regulations and environmental standards
- Assist with special event setups and public space beautification initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Georgia driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 2 years' experience in public works, construction, or related field
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred (training available)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
