Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based health policies aligned with state and federal regulations
- Analyze complex healthcare data to inform strategic decision-making for the Governor's Health Task Force
- Collaborate with legislative stakeholders to draft impactful healthcare legislation
- Lead cross-agency initiatives addressing social determinants of health
- Manage $5M+ grant programs supporting community health initiatives
- Present policy recommendations to senior leadership and legislative committees
- Oversee crisis response protocols for public health emergencies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in government or healthcare
- Expertise in health economics and Medicaid/Medicare programs
- Proven track record of developing successful legislative proposals
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (R, SAS, or Stata)
- Valid New York State driver's license
- Ability to obtain security clearance within 30 days
- Experience managing public health emergency response protocols
