Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of digital transformation strategies aligned with government policy.
- Oversee the migration of legacy systems to modern cloud-based infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
- Ensure full compliance with UK government security standards, GDPR, and data protection regulations.
- Manage cross-functional teams including developers, UX designers, and policy advisors.
- Conduct regular stakeholder engagement to communicate project progress and technical requirements.
- Mentor junior staff and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the technical team.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (5+ years) in a technical leadership role within the public sector or a similar large-scale organization.
- Strong technical proficiency in Python, Java, or C# and experience with modern web frameworks.
- Deep understanding of Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Valid right to work in the United Kingdom without sponsorship.
