Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce federal/state/local compliance policies across municipal departments
- Conduct thorough audits of city operations and documentation
- Investigate regulatory violations and recommend corrective actions
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for city council and state agencies
- Train department staff on updated regulations and procedures
- Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies
- Update compliance manuals and internal policies quarterly
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Law, or related field
- 3+ years experience in government compliance or regulatory affairs
- Active Tennessee government security clearance (or ability to obtain immediately)
- Proficiency with compliance software (e.g., LogicGate, Compliance.ai)
- Strong knowledge of Tennessee Code Annotated and federal regulations
- Valid Tennessee driver's license with clean record
- Exceptional written communication and report-writing skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in high-pressure environments
